Abstract:

A recreational-residential complex is one that is usually owned by owners and executives of
private or public investors or non-governmental public figures such as municipalities. The
purpose of the establishment is to create a place for permanent or temporary residence with
sports and recreational facilities. These complexes have good leisure facilities which usually
include a swimming pool, sports fields including tennis courts and football pitches or
artificial lakes for all types of water sports, residential villas, hotels, lakes, cafes and
restaurants, gardens for celebrating ceremonies, educational facilities and cultural complexes.
Recreational and residential centers should normally have adequate space for service units
and villas. Among the things that should be considered in recreational and residential
complexes construction, selecting a suitable location with natural and attractive scenery is a
crucial point.
Hendurabi Island is a quiet, calm and almost empty island with beautiful sandy beaches
suitable for relaxation and pleasure, swimming on the beach and sunbathing.
The island is among Kish islands' sub-districts, which, considering the natural potentials of
the island, are capable of water, soil, air and special conditions of business on the island of
Kish (no need for a visa and conditions of the free zone), as well as having natural beauties.

develop passenger capacity of Kish international airport in to 8 million passengers. Also, in
order to make this island an attractive destination, there are plenty of plans which need to be
done, such as establishing an airport and a sea port in Hendurabi Island, an international
university and a high-standard sport complex.
There is a huge potential for expansion and development of Hendurabi Island regarding the
unique location of Hendurabi and the economic situation of Kish Island. By constructing villa
complexes and providing suitable facilities that can meet all tourist requirements, this island
could turn into one of the successful tourism projects that can attract both foreign and
domestic tourists.
The proximity of Hendurabi Island to Kish Island as one of the largest tourist attractions,
unique and beautiful natural attractions of Honduran Island, lack of industrial factories and,
the absence of any camps, hotels or tourist accommodation on the island; moreover, supports
from Kish Free Zone can help to boost tourism industry on this island by constructing
camping and residential places or coastal villages.
